Requirements
3+ years of experience in DWH/BI or data engineering
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (or strong background in Azure Synapse / Databricks with willingness to migrate to Fabric)
Advanced SQL (T-SQL) – complex queries, optimization, modeling
Python/PySpark for data transformations
Knowledge of dimensional modeling (Kimball, star schema)
Power BI – at least at the level of creating semantic models and DAX basics
Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Data Factory, SSIS or similar)
Slovak/Czech + English at a communicative level (depending on the project)
DP-700 (Fabric Data Engineer Associate) or DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer) certification is an advantage
Advanced level DAX, Tabular Editor, DAX Studio are an advantage
Responsibility
Design and development of data solutions on the Microsoft Fabric platform (Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake)
Creation and orchestration of data pipelines in Data Factory (Fabric) – data ingest from source systems (ERP, CRM, API, files)
Data transformations in PySpark notebooks and SQL, implementation of medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold)
Creation of semantic models and cooperation with Power BI developers on the reporting layer (or creation of own reports)
Performance optimization – Delta tables, partitioning, incremental loads, Direct Lake
Setting up CI/CD (deployment pipelines, Git integration in Fabric workspace)
Data governance – data quality, documentation, security (workspace roles, RLS), possibly Purview
Communication with client's business stakeholders, requirements analysis, solution proposal
Migrations from legacy platforms (on-prem SQL Server / SSIS, Synapse, Power BI dataflows) to Fabric
